All of our decorative pillows are made with hidden zippers for easy dry cleaning. Should you need to clean your pillows, simply remove your inserts and send them to the dry cleaners for best results. (At home self-dry-cleaning kits such as "DryelŽ" also works, but beware of shrinkage and wrinkling of the fabric if you choose to do it yourself. To be honest, the pressing needed to be done if you did it yourself is not worth saving a few bucks at the dry cleaners to keep your throw pillows looking beautiful year after year.)
Pressing
Should you need to iron your throw pillows, remove the inserts, use a cool iron and test the iron on the ironing pad prior to placing it on your pillow covers. We recommend turning your pillows inside out, ironing the reverse side with a cool iron to preserve color and minimize potential damage to the silk. On the styles that have particularly delicate silks, we backed them with a cotton lining for support - ironing inside out allows you to work with the more durable cotton lining instead of directly on the silk. Should you choose to iron the front of your pillow covers, we recommend that you place a thin white cloth (such as a pillow inner cover) on your decorative pillow shell, and ironing over the white cloth rather than directly on the silk. For stubborn wrinkles, gently mist or dampen your white cloth, lay it over the decorative pillow shell, then iron over the white cloth.
